Once at the scene, deputies found 70-year-old Gary Neil Bradt deceased and 19-year-old Timothy Lane Wilcox in critical condition.
Deputies attempted life-saving measures on Wilcox, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to an affidavit, OSBI agents at the scene observed several bloodstains in the living room of the home, fired cartridge casings, and a handgun on the lawn of the property.

Around 7 A.M. on April 11, the Mooreland Police Chief found the vehicle parked near US Highway 12 near Cheyenne Valley. After several minutes of commands, investigators say Padilla, Mann, and Gorre surrendered.

Padilla and Mann also took several guns from Bradt's home and placed them in the vehicle, and Mann handed a gun to Gorre, which was later found in the car.
Investigators also discovered that the handgun found on the lawn of the property was left behind by Mann.
